I love you Ida
Ida (Chaya) is a remarcable lady. I met her through this blog where she comment often. She is a warm loving person, so easy to love, she always know how to use the right words, how to encourage people. It gives her pleasure to make other people happy and let them feel good. There is something about her that touch me deeply, and I'm not the only one who has this experience.....

Hi Erik,
Nice to see a German perfume blog.
Greetings from the Netherlands
Jenny,
I was wandering if you have any formulas for Vanilla Scent.
I managed to get from other sources the following chemicals. Propelyne Gloycol, Maltodextrin, Benzyl Alcohol, and ehtyl Vanillin or just Vanillin. Is this correct?
Is there any other chemicals involved. And what is the measurment of them all.
Bob.
Hi Bob,
Propylene Glycol is a solvent. I'm not sure about the Maltodextrin, I don't know that one, isn't that a flavor material? I do have Maltol which smells a bit like burned sugar and caramel. If you use vanillin you have to be very careful, because the scent can overpower the fragrance real easy. Of course you want to create a vanilla scent, but it will need other scents as well, vanilla is a base scent but it needs heart and top notes as well. You could add some fresh citrus, floral or maybe woody or musky scents. Here is a real simple vanilla base:
Bergamot oil 100
Vanillin 5
Aldehyde C.12 (MNA) 10% 1
Aldehyde C.8, 10% 0.3
Good luck.
Thanks Jenny for the reply. Actually I am not sure about Maltodextrin either. I was seaching the net to get a formula for Vanilla Scent for Air fresheners, and I came accross this site that suggested Maltodextrin is one of the component.
By the way do you know of any site or book that can direct me to making Vanilla Scent by pure chemical rather than essential oil?
Many thanks,
Bob.

Wow, sounds fantastic over and all. I think you had glow fragrance & decadently sumptuous white flowers...not to mention the bottle. It so loves to see a perfume designer make such a loving effort with the bottle design. It is just feeling like a lovely touch.
Jenny,
I want to make my own perfume. I see that you include a lot more things than just oils. What more is included in making a perfume?.. could you help me out?
